Sokode Senior High Technical School in the Volta Region has officially reopened for academic activities following its closure on February 23, 2025, due to a violent clash between some students and community youth.
School authorities have assured parents of enhanced security measures to ensure the safety of students.
The closure was prompted by an incident on February 22, when about 42 students allegedly broke bounds and engaged in a fight with local youth.
The altercation escalated, leaving some students and residents injured.
