Parts of the Job 600 building in Accra which serve as offices of Members of Parliament have been gutted by fire. The incident happened on Tuesday, August 27. TV3's Grace Hammoah Agyemang who witnessed the scene reported that all staff members of Parliament have been asked to go home for safety following the incident All parliamentary activities were called off on Tuesday, August 27, following, a fire outbreak. The fire which began around 10 am, disrupted committee sittings and other businesses of the house. A briefing from the GT Accra Fire Regional Commander indicates a storeroom on the 2nd floor of the job 600 was the source of the fire. 6 fire tenders have been deployed, while fire fighters work their way around dousing the fire, Grace further reported.
