The stage is set for Ghana to make history in global sports as the nation embarks on an ambitious journey to compete in American football at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, United States of America.  Dubbed "Road to LA 2028," this groundbreaking initiative is spearheaded by African National Football League (NFL) players based in the United States in partnership with the BE AUTHENTIC and the Ghanaian American Football Federation (GAFF).   In line with this, a Ghana National Flag Football Team Tryout Camp has been scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the University of Ghana Rugby Park.

The coaches include NFL players like Brian Asamoah, Jordan Addison and Aaron Jones - all of the Minnesota Vikings.

Others include Paulson Adebo of the New York Giants, Jude Adjei Barimah, Joseph Addai, and Zygie Ansah, a former NFL player.

With American football set to debut as an Olympic sport, Ghana's bid to make its mark is gaining momentum, drawing excitement from sports enthusiasts, policymakers, and the global football community.For the first time in its sporting history, Ghana is positioning itself to enter the global arena of American football.
