Traders at the Adum Market, where a fire recently broke out and destroyed a large section, rejected a donation of 1,500 bags of rice and 800 boxes of oil from the Interior Minister, Mohammed Muntaka.
According to the traders, they need cement to rebuild their stores and not rice and oil, which they have no use for.
Honourable Muntaka, who is the Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti Region, visited the affected traders with a truckload of aid to be presented to them.
However, the traders rejected the aid, stating they are not refugees to be brought oil and rice.
