Controversial Ghanaian media personality, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, has confirmed reports that his recent arrest had nothing to do with his political statements but was rather due to a personal issue.
On Tuesday, Afrifa was arrested by officers of the Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service.
Officers reportedly obtained a warrant for his home and electronic devices and executed a search at his residence following his apprehension.
Initial reports claimed Afrifa - who has recently become a thorn in the side of the ruling NDC government - was facing more persecution for his political leanings.
