Former Managing Director of Ghana Post, Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, has defended his tenure at the state-owned postal service, stating that he left the organization in a strong and healthy position.

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen monitored by MyNewsgh, Obour said, "I left Ghana Post at its highest level.

It was a healthy organization, and it requires continuity with the right skills to keep moving forward." He acknowledged the financial challenges he inherited upon assuming office but emphasized that efforts were made to address them. "When I took over as the MD, there was a legacy debt, and we worked hard to clear some of those arrears," he noted.

Obour also highlighted his administration's commitment to staff welfare, particularly in promotions. "Some employees had been at Ghana Post for 15 to 18 years, so we promoted many of them in 2023 to recognize their long service.
