Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment has launched an initiative to stem the rising tide of substance abuse among the youth.
Dubbed "Ghana Against Drugs (GAD) - Red Means Stop," the campaign was to combat substance abuse among the youth.
Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, Mr George Opare-Addo, said the growing threat of substance abuse, particularly the misuse of opioids, posed a severe threat to the well-being of the youth and the future of the nation. "The rapid spread of dangerous opioids-especially the one known as "Red"-has become a national concern.
Today, we take a decisive stand against this menace," he said.
