Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, has expressed disagreement with the Supreme Court's ruling on an application seeking to restrain presidents from removing the heads of the various agencies.
A five-member panel ruled that the application for an interlocutory injunction does not prevent the president from carrying out his public and administrative duties.
According to a report on adomonline.com, the application, filed by IMANI Ghana and security analyst Professor Kwesi Aning, sought to bar the president from making replacements within the security services until a final ruling on the case.
However, Kofi Bentil disagreed with the court's decision, stating, "I was impressing on the court that even though the act has happened, in our view in law, it is void or voidable.
