Benedict Ofori Debrah, a distinguished graduate of Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (Presec), Legon, has secured third place in the prestigious WAEC International Excellence Award for his stellar performance in the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The announcement was made during the 73rd Annual Council Meeting of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), held from March 17 to 21, 2025, in Monrovia, Liberia, where the region's top-performing students were celebrated.
Debrah's academic excellence was underscored by A1 grades in all eight subjects, placing him among the top three students out of an impressive 2,455,063 candidates across The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.
He now pursues a BSc.
