The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that when he talks about resetting, it does not only affect the economy but also the attitudes of the people. He says it is also about the governance structure in Ghana. Mr Mahama was replying to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia who had 'hit' back at Mr. Mahama, on the "reset" Ghana call. During the NDC's Manifesto launch, Mahama expressed the need for the electorate to overwhelmingly vote for him, stating that the country is "bleeding" and its "soul is crying for change." But during his media engagement on Sunday, August 25, Dr Bawumia said "I represent the future, Ghana needs an upgrade, not a reset.
