Sulemana Braimah, Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), has demanded that the Attorney General, Dr Dominic Akuritinga Ayine, names the parliamentarian who was allegedly paid to kill a story in relation to the National Service Scheme (NSS) ghost names scandal.

He cited transparency and protection of the reputation of Parliament as reasons for his demand. "We call on the Attorney General (AG) to name the said MP to whom money was given to kill the story.

Doing so will be in the interest of transparency and also to protect the reputation of Parliament," the Facebook post by Sulemana Braimah read.

Dominic Ayine had indicated, during his press briefing on March 24, 25, that monies were allegedly paid by the Chief Executive Officer and other officials of the National Service Authority (NSA) to a Member of Parliament to influence the media to kill the NSS ghost names investigations.
