Prof Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua, Associate Professor at the School of Law, University of Ghana, has lauded the Attorney General for pursuing the alleged case of malfeasance by a former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), Kwabena Adu-Boahene.

He, however, noted that the exercise which is meant to hold public officers accountable, must equally include politically-exposed persons. "I think that the AG acted rightly.

I think that instead of a section of the public chastising him for putting out details of the case, he should rather be applauded for it. "It shows transparency on the part of the Attorney General and it is particularly important that the cases feature politically-exposed persons, otherwise it will appear to be witch hunting," he said on 'PM Express' on March, 24, 2025.

Reacting to the assertion by critics that the Dr Ayine revealed too much details on the case, he stressed that it was necessary for a healthy democracy. "I don't see anything wrong with what the Attorney General did.
