Ghana's Supreme Court has ruled as moot an injunction sought on the removal of security capos by the president.
Iman Africa and Prof Kwabena Enning, ahead of the decision to remove the Inspector General of Police and other top security officials, sought to injunct the process.
They argued that there was a case pending in court on the power of the president to remove security chiefs, and therefore, the president could not remove the security capos until a ruling is given in May 2025.
But the 5-member panel presided over by Justice Baffoe Bonney held that the pendency of the case shouldn't stop the President from carrying out his administrative duties.
