The Minister of Interior and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, Henry Quartey, has warned the Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mustapha Gbande, according to a 3news.com report. The warning comes after Gbande is reported to have accused the Minister of conspiring to rig the upcoming December elections. Gbande alleged that Henry Quartey, in collaboration with the Deputy Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Director of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), have been holding secret meetings to manipulate the election results. He claimed that these meetings were aimed at undermining the integrity of the electoral process. In response, the Interior Minister has dismissed the accusations as "baseless" and "unfortunate," stating that they are intended to erode public trust in the government.
