The minority caucus in Parliament has accused the Attorney General, Dr Dominic Ayine of abusing his office by ordering searches, arrests, and conducting investigations into former government appointees.
The group claim that the current actions of national security operatives ordered by the AG undermine the constitutional mandate of the office.
Addressing journalists in Parliament on Monday, March 24, Second Deputy Minority Whip, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, called on the Attorney General to immediately halt such actions.
According to Ahmed Shaib, photographs circulating on social media show signs of destruction and ransacking.
