The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, will be observed as public holidays across the country.
The declaration comes in connection with Eid-ul-Fitr, a statutory public holiday marking the end of Ramadan.
According to a press release signed by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to fall on either Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31, 2025.
However, as March 30 is a Sunday, His Excellency President has exercised his authority under Executive Instrument (E.I.) and Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601) to designate the following Monday and Tuesday as additional public holidays.
