A former Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, Edward Michael Ennin, has called for the summoning of former President to the disciplinary committee of the (NPP).
He expressed the view that the former president allegedly orchestrated the removal of key figures from the party, including Paul Afoko, a former national chairman, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former general secretary.
Speaking on Asempa FM on Saturday, March 22, 2025, Ennin stated that Akufo-Addo should be the one summoned before the committee for investigation and possible punishment regarding how these individuals were removed from the party, rather than the party attempting to silence disgruntled members. "Is this not the same party where some of the leaders like Akufo-Addo orchestrated the sacking of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong?
The manner in which they sacked these people wasn't right but why haven't they addressed that issue?
