The Majority Leader, , has weighed in on the operation by National Security operatives at the residence of former Bank of Ghana Governor, Dr Ernest Addison.
Addressing Parliament on March 21, 2025, Ayariga set the record straight, stating that what occurred at Dr Addison's residence was a legally sanctioned search, not a raid as it has been described.
According to him, referring to it as a raid, especially in Parliament, is inappropriate when there is insufficient and well-informed information about what actually transpired. "To correct the records, the committee clerk uses the word raid.
It is not an appropriate expression of what happened.
