The former Minister of Health, Dr , has criticised the approach by Richard Jakpa and his team from the National Security in their raids on former government officials in the country.
Addressing the incident, Dr Okoe Boye stated that the aggressive approach and thuggery employed by Jakpa and his team during their raids on former appointees are inconsistent with the country's laws and established practices. "This thuggery, machoism belong to the medieval era from 1666 to 1896," he said during an interview on Metro TV on March 20, 2025.
Dr Okoe Boye further warned that the raids, along with the level of aggression exhibited by the security operatives, could destabilise the nation if the victims decide to retaliate.
He cautioned those close to Richard Jakpa and key figures of the governing NDC to call him to order regarding his conduct. "Those who are near Jakpa should talk to him.
