Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Mohammed, has taken a strong stance against former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo, following her remarks describing the committee investigating the party's 2024 election loss as "bogus." In an interview on Joy FM, Haruna Mohammed expressed his disappointment, stating that the committee, chaired by Professor Mike Oquaye, is made up of respected members whose integrity should not be dismissed so lightly. "Professor Mike Oquaye is not the committee, he is the chair of the committee.
We have other respectable members of the committee, and then a national council committee is described on a public platform as bogus.
That is a party decision and Article 3(5) states that we should abide by and publicly uphold the decisions of the party," he explained.
He further questioned Adwoa Safo's public criticism of the committee, emphasizing that its report had not even been finalized. "Then you [Sarah Adwoa Safo] publicly say that the decision of the party is bogus?
