The Nsumia Church of Christ in the Nsawam-Addoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region has donated assorted food and non-food items worth GH¢15, 000 to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison to support the upkeep of inmates.
The items included rice, gari, toilet rolls, soap, used clothing, shoes, slippers, plastic chairs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and an amplifier.
Members of the Nsumia Church of Christ were also given the opportunity to worship with the Nsawam Medium Security Prison Church of Christ.
Presenting the items to the Prisons at Nsawam last Friday, Evangelist Edward Boakye, the pastor of the Nsumia Church of Christ, said the donation was the church's contribution to supporting the welfare of the inmates.
