The Ramseyer Cooperative Credit Union (RCCU) has officially opened its branch at Ashtown, near Kejetia market, Kumasi to provide services to its customers within that catchment area.
The opening of the new branch formed part of activities marking the silver jubilee celebration of the credit union.
This brings to six of the number of branches of RCCU since it was established in 2000 and in addition to the six physical branches, RCCU also operates a virtual branch.
Speaking at the opening of the new branch, which was also used to launch the 25th anniversary of the credit union, the Chief Executive officer of RCCU, Kennedy Yeboah, said RCCU started mainly as a welfare scheme for members of the Ramseyer Presbyterian Church at Adum.
