The Management of the Volta Region branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has embarked on an impact assessment on its facilities in communities affected by the recent tidal waves in the Ketu South Municipality, to enable the company to identify communities that needed immediate attention to provide quality service to them.
The ECG management on-site tour led by the Volta Regional General Manager, Ms Christina Jatoe-Kaleo, visited Agavedzi, Salakope, Amutinu, Kpokporgbor and Fuveme, where technical personnel identified various levels of technical challenges to be fixed.
The Volta Regional General Manager of the ECG, Ms Jatoe-Kaleo, said the tour enabled management to identify factors that had an effect on electricity installations to the affected communities and assured that her outfit would make conscious efforts to supply power to the people.
Ms Jatoe-Kaleo stressed that engineers have been conducting feasibility studies in the tidal wave affected communities, to evaluate the situation and necessary technical measures would be put in place to relocate ECG installations, which would ensure reliable power supply to the communities.
