President has started preparing his plans for retirement in less than 5 months to hand over to a new president. As part of his plans, President Akufo-Addo has said he expects his appointees to pay him visits as he plans to spend his retirement in Kyebi. The President was speaking at the manifesto launch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), where he assured the party he hopes to hand over to , his successor. According to Akufo-Addo, he expects some of his appointees, who were gathered at the manifesto launch, to visit him in Kyebi. "When I hear that noise and I go to Black Square on the 7th of January, then I am off to Kyebi, and I'm expecting to see some of you there in my retirement," he said. President Akufo-Addo will join ex-presidents and John Mahama as one of Ghana's only three living former heads of state.
