Ghanaian singer Gyakie has opened up about the inspiration behind her highly anticipated debut album, After Midnight.

According to the songstress, the album's title reflects her creative process, as most of the songs were recorded during the quiet hours after midnight. "The peace & quiet, the sounds from the birds, the serenity, everything from those hours help my creativity a lot," she shared, emphasizing how the stillness of the night enhances her artistry.

When I'm in my down moments, I schedule the tears for when I get home from work then let it all out," she confessed, adding a deeply personal touch to the project.Reflecting on her upbringing, Gyakie noted how her mother's late-night prayers have been a powerful influence. "Growing up, my mother would always pray for us after midnight when we are deeply asleep.
