The Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Francis-Xavier Kojo Sosu, has accused the former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akufo Dampare, of misruling the police service, alleging that he was a victim of that administrative lapse.

He narrated an incident where police officers armed with AK-47 rifles allegedly chased him in his home and even at church, as though he was a common criminal.

In a video shared on X by TV3, on March 19, 2025, the MP said, "I personally was a victim of Dampare's misruling.

When police officers were chasing me in my home, in the church with AK47 as though I was a common criminal and went to court all kinds of peddled falsehood." According to Sosu, such treatment was as a result of the accusations leveled against him that he blocked a road during a demonstration. "I just didn't finish writing those books.
