Former Gender and Social Protection Minister, Sarah Adwoa Safo has urged the New Patriotic Party to maintain Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the next election.
According to her, there is no need to change the party's 2024 flagbearer because the defeat is through no fault of his.
Adwoa Safo who was speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM indicated that per the political party's history, none of their flagbearers have been able to win at their first attempt.
Therefore, the privilege given to the John Agyekum Kufour and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo must be given to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the next election. "We will support him.
