The National Identification Authority (NIA) has commenced investigation into circumstances leading to 110,936 Ghanaians attempting multiple registration for the Ghana Card. Addressing the Assurances Committee of Parliament on Monday, August 26, 2024, the Executive Secretary of the NIA, Prof. Ken Attafuah, noted that the Authority has withheld the cards. "We have a total of 110,936, as the number of Ghanaians who have attempted multiple registration whose cards have gone into delinquency and are being investigated," he stated.
