The Ministry of Transport has established a 13-member inter-agency committee to review aspects of the Road Traffic Regulations 2021 (L.I. 2180) that currently prohibit the use of motorcycles, commonly known as Okada, for commercial purposes.
According to Transport Minister Joseph Bukari Nikpe, the committee has been given three weeks to complete its work.
He emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Mahama government's commitment to legalizing commercial motorcycle operations as part of broader transportation reforms.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the committee, Mr.
