The Executive Secretary of the National Identification Authority (NIA) has said that his outfit is ready register Ghanaians living in other countries. The exercise is in accordance with the NIA Act, 2008 (Act 750). According to Prof. Ken Attafuah, a 10-member team will travel to Ottawa, Canada to begin the piloting of the exercise and train officials there to undertake the registration. The team will rely on Ghana's missions abroad as registration centres with support from their officers.
