Ghanaian broadcaster Afia Pokua, widely recognized as Vim Lady, has weighed in on the controversy surrounding the dismissal of Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare.
Speaking on her live show, Gyaso Gyaso, she suggested that Dampare could have spared himself the current turmoil and potential embarrassment by stepping down immediately after John Dramani Mahama's victory in the 2024 presidential elections. "Dampare should have resigned right after Mahama won.
It was obvious that Mahama's administration wouldn't work with him because of his ties to the previous government," she stated.
Vim Lady also expressed surprise at the sudden progress in the investigation of journalist Ahmed Suale's murder case following the appointment of the new IGP, Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
