Eric Edem Agbana has defended the government's decision to run a lean administration, stating that President John Mahama is committed to efficiency over numbers. "President Mahama promised to run the government with not more than sixty ministers, and we have stayed true to that commitment," Agbana stated in an interview on Metro TV's Good Morning Ghana.
He contrasted this with the previous administration's approach, arguing that excessive appointments did not translate into effective governance. "At one point, they had 126 ministers.
When Ghanaians complained, they reduced it to 88.
