President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in Patience Baffoe-Bonnie as the new Director-General of the Ghana Prison Service.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House on March 17, 2025, was attended by top government officials and senior officers of the prison service.

Baffoe-Bonnie's appointment is part of a broader leadership restructuring in Ghana's security sector, which also includes new appointments for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) and the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS).

Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, the acting Chief Fire Officer of the GNFS, and Samuel Basentale Amadu, the acting Comptroller-General of the GIS, are expected to be sworn in at a later date.
