Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has reaffirmed her commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and market traders through the establishment of the Women's Development Bank.
Sharing an update on her social media page, she revealed that she recently held a strategic meeting with her team to discuss the initiative, which aims to provide financial support for small and micro-scale businesses run by women. "Today, I held a strategic meeting with my team on the establishment of the Women's Development Bank, a key initiative to support small and micro-scale women entrepreneurs and market traders. "Our discussions focused on the capacity building and stakeholder engagement needed to make this vision a reality.
We are committed to working with beneficiaries to create a sustainable and impactful institution," she stated.
The initiative is expected to empower women in business by providing financial resources, training, and the necessary support to help them grow.
