A legal expert, Andrew Appiah Danquah, has advised the former Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, to fully surrender himself to investigations surrounding the allegations levelled against him by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
He explained the need for accountability in public service, urging Ofori-Atta not to give the impression that he is evading the law.
In a video shared on X by TV3 on March 17, 2025, he said, "I have a simple advice for Ken Ofori-Atta.For somebody who has had the privilege of having served Ghana at the very top position, not at the highest level, who took an oath to protect and defend the laws of this country, he should subjugate himself to due process. "He shouldn't be giving the impression that he's running away from the law because, in my view, that's the impression he's giving," he added.
According to Appiah Dankwah, Ofori-Atta informed the OSP that he was uncertain on when he will be back to Ghana.
