In response to the rampant impunity in Ghana's illegal mining sector, known locally as "," two journalists have played a pivotal role in the arrest of three Chinese nationals engaged in illegal mining activities within the Tano Nimire Forest Reserve in the Samreboi district of the Western North Region. The arrested individuals have been handed over to the Asankragua Police Division Command for further investigation. The two presenters were on a mission to expose illegal mining operations in the Western and Western North Regions when they unexpectedly encountered Chinese nationals mining in the protected forest reserve.
