The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), , has lauded the achievements of the ruling government after almost 8 years in power. According to a report by citinewsroom.com, Dr Bawumia, while highlighting the achievements of the administration he serves in, asserted that they have fulfilled and delivered about 80% of their manifesto promises from both 2016 and 2020, despite facing economic challenges and a pandemic. Addressing the media on Sunday, August 25, 2024, Dr Bawumia stated that the figures and records demonstrate the NPP government's capabilities as compared to those of their predecessor. He said, "I think that we have a very pretty record in terms of honouring our promises. We've done some work to look at our 2016 manifesto, and what proportion of those manifestos we've honoured, and 83 percent have been honoured.
