A Development Economist, Dr George Domfeh has described the 2025 budget as entirely positive.
He makes the point that the document does not deviate much in terms of policy directions. "The budget is entirely very positive, it didn't deviate much in terms of the policy direction, from the 2023 mid-year review and 2024 budget," he said on the Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, March 15.
Also commenting on the budget, an economics lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Adu Owusu Sarkodie has said that the document focuses more on fiscal consolidation.
He indicated that the budget cuts expenditure levels by GHS 10 billion, a figure he described as very huge. "The focus is more on fiscal consolidation.
