A bridge collapse on the Mampong-Ejura highway has left hundreds of commuters stranded, causing massive gridlock on the major road.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Sakaso, where the bridge caved in, making it a death trap.
According to Otec News reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng, who visited the scene, dozens of vehicles transporting food from Ejura to Kumasi were stuck on the road.
Commercial drivers were forced to abandon their passengers at the edge of the collapsed bridge, leaving them stranded.
