The Assembly Member for Alajo North Electoral Area, Ibrahim Halidu Esq., has praised President John Mahama's government for introducing allowances for assembly members, as outlined in the 2025 Budget.
Halidu made these remarks following the presentation of the 2025 Budget by the Finance Minister, Dr. , on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Speaking with the media in Accra, the Assembly Member expressed his appreciation for the announcement, noting that the inclusion of allowances for assembly members in the national budget was a long-awaited and significant development.
As the representative of Alajo North, which is part of the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly (ACMA), Halidu emphasized the vital role assembly members play in their communities. "As assembly members, we carry great responsibility," he said. "We live with the people, understand their challenges, and often serve as the first point of contact when they face problems.
