Former Finance Minister and current Ranking Member of Parliament's Finance Committee, Mohammed Amin Adam, has accused Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson of misrepresenting economic data in the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy.
Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show, Amin Adam questioned discrepancies in the figures presented by the Finance Minister. "The Finance Minister claimed that total government expenditure, including discrepancies, stood at 27% of GDP by the end of 2024.
However, the budget booklet itself states that it was 23.7%.
So which is which?
