Many female students of Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) in Tamale, the regional capital of the Northern Region, have been rendered homeless, following a rainstorm that destroyed their dormitory.
The rainstorm that hit the metropolis on Wednesday evening ripped off the roof of the girls' dormitory, and rendered the building inhabitable.
The heavy rainstorm also destroyed properties belonging to the students worth thousands of Ghana cedis Items destroyed by the rainstorm included books, uniforms, bags, footwear and mattresses.
The Headmaster of NOBISCO, Mr Alhassan Issah Dokurugu, in an interview with the Ghanaian Times in the school said they had converted one of the boys' dormitories to accommodate the girls as an interim measure.
