The Charismatic Believers Church International (CBCI) marked its 25th Anniversary on Sunday in Accra with a call on all Christian communities to prioritise spreading the word of God in order to ensure positive change in the country.
The day's programme which was held under the theme: 'Keeping the Fire Burning in the Power of His Might,' was aimed to highlight CBCI's journey over the past quarter-century and also to unveil its vision for the future.
Speaking in an interview with the media after the celebration, the General Overseer of CBCI, Right Reverend Kwabena Owusu-Amoah, emphasised the need for Christians to prioritise spreading the gospel above any other interest, saying a lot of souls were being lost and it behoved on Christians to step up efforts to reach out to those who needed the word to change them from their bad ways.
Touching on the theme, he stated, Christians must seriously 'keep the fire burning' by preaching the gospel to individuals, especially those who had gone wayward to bring them back into the fold of Christ.
