The Minister of Education, , has unveiled significant reforms to the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, including the elimination of the double-track system and an expansion to include private schools.

Mr.

"This means that through the computerized placement system, 150,000 students will be assigned to private senior high schools in addition to those in public institutions." The government intends to phase out the double-track system over the next two to three years, supported by major infrastructure investments to accommodate growing student numbers. "Our goal is to end the double-track system, and this will require substantial infrastructure investment," Mr.

Iddrisu emphasized.
