Former Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare and his backers, IMANI Ghana and Professor Kwasi Aning, have dragged President John Dramani Mahama to court over his sacking of the IGP.
Earlier on Thursday, March 13th, it was announced that President John Dramani Mahama had relieved the IGP from his post.
In his stead, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno was named the new IGP.
A swearing-in ceremony for the new IGP is slated for Friday, March 14th.
