The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has issued a power supply maintenance schedule that will affect certain areas across the country.
This comes after recent calls for the government to release a 'dumsor' timetable following reports of sporadic power outages nationwide.
However, the Minister of Energy and Green Transition, , has dismissed these concerns, stating that there is no need for such a schedule since the country is not currently experiencing load shedding. "As we speak, we're exporting about 300 megawatts of power to Benin, Burkina Faso, and other neighboring countries.
If you have enough power and are exporting, there is obviously no need to publish a timetable," he said.
