The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, , has disclosed that President has not made any employments of civil servants since assuming office at the presidency.

According to him, all workers currently at the presidency are staff employed under previous governments, which they inherited, and there have been no new appointments made to increase the numbers.

The minister made this known on Thursday, March 13, 2025, during an address to the public to set the records on budgetary allocations made to the Office of the President and Office of Government Machinery. "… Let me add that President Mahama has not employed a single civil servant in addition to what he came to meet," he clarified.

The Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese MP refuted claims that the president had employed more staff, thereby increasing the size of his government.
