Finance Minister Dr.
Cassiel Ato Forson has criticized the previous government, led by President Akufo-Addo, for failing to accurately portray the true state of Ghana's economy.
He argued that the economic policies implemented under Akufo-Addo's administration did not align with claims that the economy had "turned the corner." Speaking on Channel One TV's The Point of View on Wednesday, Dr.
Forson also accused the political leadership at the time of failing to properly communicate the severity of the country's economic challenges to Ghanaians. "I had always maintained that the government of the day at the time had failed to paint the true state of the Ghanaian economy and that if you look at the transmissions, some of the economic policies, it doesn't reflect an economy that has turned the corner.
