Controversial U.S.
based Ghanaian political commentator, Twene Jonas, has declared President John Dramani Mahama the 'Kwame Nrkrumah of our time' for reducing the tax burden on Ghanaians.
Speaking following the presentation of the 2025 budget and financial statement before Parliament, Jonas said the government abolishing the e-levy, betting tax and COVID levy is great news for Ghanaians.
According to him, the purpose of a government is to solve the problems of a population and not to rather saddle them with too much problems.
