Students of the Accra Girls Senior High School have been educated about prospects in the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector and encouraged to pursue careers in that field.

The students were educated during an event organized by WiWASH, a Network of Professional Women in the WASH sector in Ghana, as parts of activities marking International Women's Day 2025 under theme 'Accelerating Action through Guidance'.

The event, which took place at the Accra Girls Senior High School campus, on Friday, March 7, brought together over 300 students, teachers and WASH professionals.

Experts in Water Quality Assurance, Water Distribution Engineering, Geo-Spatial Technology and Quantity Surveying took turns to educate the school children about the rudiments of their professional fields and showed them the pathways to becoming professionals in those fields as well.
